Caen (Calvados- FRANCE) based beatmaker/artist goes nostalgic with new beat instrumentals.
According to Shadow Killah, his Beat EP, ‘Cotonou Blues‘ was composed on a nostalgic feeling. A feeling he has over his native country and the family and friends that he left behind before relocating to France. The vocals sampled on all the tracks accentuates this deep feeling, which in turn, makes the EP very emotionally deep.
Born Moutarou Nabil Arisekola in Cotonou, Benin Republic, he started is musical journey way back in his native country. Moving down to France, he continued horning his skills which led to the release of his first mixtape, ‘La Killah Mixtape Vol. 1‘ in 2009. A mixtape that earned him the much deserved respect and adhere him to the hearts of hip-pop faithful in his home base town, Caen.
His collaboration with up and coming local artist, Dao in 2010 and many more single tracks over the years, opened more doors, that led to him doing shows nation-wide and be accepted nationally by faithful real Hip-Hop followers in France. His versality has also led him in crafting dope beats and producing 2 EP for local Hip-Hop artists, Enigmatic (Bogdan) and Arsene Lupin of the rap group, ‘Be A kid‘.
Shadow Killah hopes to break new ground and reach the international audiences with his new EP. A fit, I believe he can attain with just a matter of time
His signature beats are what game changers who have no problem been original and different needs. No question!
