Adele shatters Taylor Swift’s record on Vevo

Adele put Vevo on traffic hold-up with her new single, Hello. With more than 27 million views under 24 hours, she broke Taylor Swift’s long-held record.

Adele, who has weathered all storms relating from problems with her vocal cords, heartbreak from her old flame to an attempt to dent her sociable image after once been described as ‘Fat‘ by Karl Lagerfeld. And not to even mention her long absence from the scene totally, bounces back with a hot single, ‘Hello’ from her much-anticipated November 20th, 2015 album titled ‘25‘.

Adele’s Hello is already causing enough internet chaos.

Not only that, the track became the most downloaded track of all time within the first week of release, with more than 1 million downloads only in the U.S. A record previously held by Flo rida‘s ‘Right Round’ in 2009 with 636,000 downloads.

Adele, although not new to record-setting achievements,  looks to do something never been done before in the history of musical entertainment with ’25’. A peep into the growing successes of  ‘Hello’  views on other social media platforms like Youtube (200+ million views) and No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, buttresses that fact.

I never wanted to look like models on the covers of magazines.
I represent the majority of women
and I am very proud of that.

What more? When the full album finally drops this month, we might witness another history. She has already done that with her début album 21 becoming the most sold British album in the 21st century.

Who knows, maybe MJ’s record is on the line. Only time will tell. For now, Adele says Hello.
